Bobbi Dempsey is an award-winning wordsmith. She cut her journalistic teeth as a reporter for a daily Knight Ridder paper, covering everything from murder and Mafia ties to turkey farms and tomato festivals. She conducted jailhouse interviews of convicted murderers, investigated nepotism and job-buying, and interviewed grieving relatives with compassion and sensitivity.

Currently working on several books, Bobbi also freelances for national magazines such as Parents, Penthouse, Family Circle and Woman's Own. In addition, she is a PR specialist and principal/owner of Dempsey PR.

Bobbi wrote her first article - a report on apples from the view of a worm at age 7. Reading since the age of two and writing shortly after that, Bobbi has gone from writing about worms in apples to write about a myriad of topics including consumer investigations and crime reporting. Her work features her trademark wit, humor and creative way of looking at things. Her consumer reporting is known for its "real-world" value (such as her crackdown on fake Pokemon cards) and her unique testing methods (testing clear backpacks by freezing them, poking them with pencils and dragging them down the street).

Bobbi also specializes in celebrity profiles - she has interviewed everyone from Rat Pack-er Joey Bishop to WWF wrestler Mick Foley. She even once gave a speech of her own at the White House.
She is also fond of "immersion reporting" - in which she basically becomes a part of the story. This has included everything from spending a night in the mosh pit at an Aerosmith concert to putting in a shift in a 6x6 fire tower 90 feet in the air.
